Yolo County SPCA offers dog, cat and small animal adoptions through our successful adoption program. Each year we are able to place dozens of dogs, cats, and other pets into caring and safe homes. NOTE: There is a two week "trial period" after an animal is adopted. If, for any reason at all, the animal must be returned to us during the first two weeks after the adoption, we will either fully refund the adoption fee, or help to place the family with another animal in our system. Please check the requirements checklist below, then fill out an adoption application. Adoption Requirements Checklist:

We have an application that needs to be completed. We need to interview all members of the household that are considering adopting the pet. We also need to verify if renting that any rental deposits have been satisfied.
The Yolo County SPCA is a non-profit foster home based animal welfare organization. Our mission is to continuously improve the welfare of animals in the community through programs that promote the adoption of homeless animals into permanent, loving homes; humane education; spay/neutering; and the trapping, altering and return of feral cats.
