Valley Animal Center
The Valley Animal Center, a no-kill dog and cat adoption center and low-cost spay, neuter, and vaccination clinic, is the result of years of hard work and progress to better the lives of companion animals. The Greater Fresno Area has long had a need for no-kill humane efforts due to the unfortunate fact that the San Joaquin Valley has the third highest euthanasia rate in the United States. Valley Animal Center is taking the lead to accomplish the goal of reducing the use of euthanasia of treatable and adoptable animals in Central California. Although significant strides have already been made through Valley Animal Center’s efforts, so much more remains to be done to effectively impact the pet overpopulation crisis that is prevalent throughout Central California.
